I am tired of seeing pretty girls faces. Im
far more interested in reality. Not the gritty bits of ugly ‘reality’, but the
balanced interconnectedness of action and reaction. Everything reacts to
everything else and it is a fascinating thing to capture, something you can do
with ceramics without having to worry about specific contexts.
Ceramic is earth, and so it will always
reflect natural patterns and effects, to the point where wether I want it to or
not, the piece can develop itself.
Unbound by canvas shape or conventions, my only limits in what I make is
what temperature I reach an the size or my kiln. It’s a painting with nature, not
of nature.
