Etiology of the Unicorn

According to Wikipedia;

Etiology (alternatively aetiology, aitiology /tiˈɒləi/) is the study of causation, or origination. The word is derived from the Greek αἰτιολογία, aitiologia, "giving a reason for" (αἰτία, aitia, "cause"; and -λογία, -logia).[1]
The word is most commonly used in medical and philosophical theories, where it is used to refer to the study of why things occur, or even the reasons behind the way that things act, and is used in philosophy, physics, psychology, government, geography, spatial analysis, medicine, theology, and biology in reference to the causes of various phenomena. An etiological myth is a myth intended to explain a name or create a mythic history for a place or family.

The Unicorn,

is fantastic!,
its fantasy
un-predictable and un-tameable, a mystery...

Its a creature made up to tell fables that would entertain and teach. Fairytales, used as and image of strength.

I use it because it represents all that I dont understand.
It is the symbol of incomprehensible chaos that creates the final effects in my art. A metaphor for a kiln, the chemical reactions and atmosphere that I choose to be ambiguous and general with in my work, so that the results are unpredictable, only estimable.

Calling them 'Unicorn Voms' because, as the archetypal symbol of imagination, the Unicorn acts as a metaphorical instigator of fantastic production. I'm not the sole maker of these items: estimation, chance, approximation, failure, misunderstanding, magic, known, unknown, and opportunity align in a chaotic control experiment.

The results are beautiful and mysterious.
And I think the humour of it vomiting explains the random mash that is my glazing technique, as well as a shout of out support to the poor girls who have chosen the unglamourous road of bulimia to beauty. To provide an irony that its is a fantasy. The Unicorn means so much in so many layers, I could write an essay...

Tempt me!
